Think casual! We're planning some fun events for our guests on Friday, and seeing as it will be October in Scotland, you'll want to be prepared for any and all types of weather. Bring your favorite pair of blue jeans and gym shoes, maybe even a rain coat and a pair of rain boots if your luggage allows. Weather permitting, we intend to have a few events held outside.

Thirlestane Castle was built in the late 16th century, so we feel there is no better way to respect its history than by celebrating with a black tie event. Women are encouraged to wear formal, dark, floor length dresses or suits, and men are encouraged to wear black suits or tuxedos. However, should you have a family tartan, we invite you to wear your kilt with a traditional, formal top to honor your Scottish heritage.
